Advancing Community Health:

HACOCA’s Strategic Initiatives for Reproductive Health and Disease Prevention

HACOCA is committed to fostering healthy communities. In partnership with the government and other stakeholders, the organization develops and implements programs aimed at promoting sexual and reproductive health, as well as combating HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria among women, children, youth, and other high-risk populations. Guided by our strategic plan, the following interventions are currently being executed through various projects and programs.

Our programmes are centred arround:

HIV Prevention

HACOCA advocates for HIV prevention education, condom promotion, HIV testing and counseling, ART adherence support, HIV self-test distribution, TB screening, and referral services to enhance community health and connect individuals with necessary care.

Sexual Reproductive Health

HACOCA promotes social behavioral change, provides comprehensive family planning services, manages sexually transmitted infections, and supports menstrual hygiene for women and girls.

Food and Nutrition Security

HACOCA promotes healthy lifestyles through behavioral change communication, supports food security with agriculture and gardening, conducts nutritional screenings, and provides counseling to improve dietary habits.

Malaria

HACOCA promotes insecticide-treated mosquito nets (ITNs), provides environmental cleaning education, offers malaria rapid testing and screening, and ensures timely medical referrals and linkages.
