Huruma Aids Concern and Care (HACOCA) is a registered non-governmental organization based in Morogoro, Tanzania. Since 2000, HACOCA has worked to address HIV/AIDS, food insecurity, poverty, gender-based violence, and other social challenges through community-centered programs. We are committed to empowering youth, women, children, and marginalized groups while fostering sustainable livelihoods and inclusive development.


Job Purpose

The Administrative Assistant will provide essential administrative, clerical, and logistical support to ensure the smooth functioning of HACOCA’s operations. This position requires a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage office operations, including filing, correspondence, and record-keeping.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, emails, and telephone calls.
  • Support scheduling of meetings, workshops, and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain office supplies and inventory, ensuring timely procurement.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and official documents.
  • Provide logistical support for project activities and events.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational and partner information.
  • Perform any other administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in administration, secretarial, or office management roles (NGO experience is an added advantage).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
