Project Overview

This long-term project is dedicated to addressing the comprehensive care needs of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) and OVC in the Mvomero District. The project operates with a holistic approach, addressing the physical, emotional, and nutritional needs of its beneficiaries. To date, the Tunajali Project has successfully reached 2,500 OVC and 1,553 PLHIV, providing them with essential medical care to manage their health conditions, psychosocial support to help them navigate the emotional challenges associated with HIV/AIDS, and nutritional assistance to ensure they maintain a healthy diet.

Project Achievement

The Tunajali Project has achieved notable success in improving the health outcomes of 2500 OVC and 1553 PLHIV. The project led to a reduction in malnutrition among OVC and improvement in the adherence rates to antiretroviral therapy among PLHIV. Additionally, over 85% of the clients reported an enhanced quality of life, with significant improvements in mental health and social integration.
